Ouch! When you think of a prickly cactus plant you don't usually think about flowers.  You usually think about sharp needles. In winter the cactus plants take on a prurple and brown color...

Some of our cacti have bright and beautiful flowers.

...but in the spring they turn green again and have beautiful flowers.
