Hay Balers
![]()
Balers are machines that scoop up grass or alfalfa after it has been cut. Then they form hay bales by compressing the grass and tying it with a string. Hay bales can be either round or square.
After the hay is baled it can be moved into a hay stack or a barn for storage. When winter comes and there is no grass in the pasture, a farmer or rancher can then feed the hay to horses, cattle and elk.
