They are not really "square", they are "rectangular". Square hay bales are not really "square", they are rectangular.  They are small and light enough for a man to pick one up without the help of a machine. It looks like some bales are ready to fall down.

Every thing is neat and in its place.  Just like your room.

A tractor pulls this baler across a field of cut grass or alfalfa.  After the baler scoops the grass in, it compresses it into a rectangular shape and ties it with a string.  The baler then drops the bale onto the ground.  The farmer will pick up the bale later.

It scoops up grass and makes blocks of hay.  Magic!It is so quiet out here that all you can hear is the breeze.
