Coyotes actually help farmers by eating rodents that feed on farmers' crops. They usually eat meat, but sometimes they eat plants, berries, nuts, fruits and insects. When they don't have enough food they sometimes try to eat farm animals like chickens.
Coyote mothers usually have between 4 and 7 pups in a litter.
The newborn pups don't meet their father until they are about 2 months old. Then he helps them learn how to hunt for food.
