This Great Horned Owl came to the rehab center with a broken lower beak.  They tried several ways to fix it, but nothing seemed to work.

Finally a local dentist agreed to help the owl.  The dentist made a replacement lower beak out of gold.  Look at the picture again.

 So, if you are in Colorado and see a glint of gold in the sky - it might just be this owl.

 

Be Careful - Wild animals can be very dangerous, especially if they are sick.  Never try to pick one up.  If you see one then call an adult.
