As soon as they finish tying the goat's legs they give a signal to the timekeeper to stop the clock.  If the knot isn't tight enough, then the goat might slip out of it.  If that happens within a few seconds then the contestant is disqualified.

I need a five minute coffee break. The goats get tired of being chased and tied up.  They put fresh goats in after a few contestants.  The goats even have their own number tags on their foreheads.

 

These kids really fly.
The event is open to Senior girls, Junior girls and Junior boys.

 

It looks easy but it is not. The hardest part is turning the goat over and into position for... ...making the perfect knot.
